Today I’m finally kicking off the ROOTD (Riding Outfit of The Day) series!  The outfit I’m wearing is perfect the early days of fall, and one that I love because it’s INSANELY comfortable.  It’s also an outfit that I can wear to the barn, ride in, and then go run whatever errands I have.  Below I’ve listed exactly what I’m wearing and where you can find each of these items.

Top: The sweater is from the LOFT and while they don’t sell this one anymore you can find a similar one here.  This top works for me because it’s lightweight, warm, and loose enough that I can easily move when I’m on the ground or in the saddle.  The tank top I’m wearing underneath is from Old Navy and can be found here.

Breeches:  I’m wearing the Piper Knit Breeches by SmartPak and they are the BEST breeches I have ever worn!  They’re super comfy, breathable, and my favorite part is that there is absolutely no gaping at the waist.  This is awesome if you’re someone like me who has an hourglass figure, and a significant size difference between your thighs/hips and waist.  They also come in a bunch of fun colors which you can find here.

Shoes:  When I’m heading home from the barn and have to run errands I love these Steve Madden slipons, because honestly I love anything sparkly!  While they don’t make this pair anymore you can find something similar here.  For riding I will forever love the Ariat Heritage IV Zip Waterproof Paddock Boot.  They’re super comfortable and I wear them EVERYWHERE.  You can find them here.
