ROOTD: October

It’s October now which basically means that everyday is Halloween at this point 🙂  And since I’m a HUGE Harry Potter fan I wanted to showcase an outfit that has some fun nods towards the series.

With cooler weather approaching this Gryffindor varsity jacket.  It’s lightweight and the hoodie makes it perfect for foggy fall mornings and the cooler nights.  The t-shirt I’m wearing is one of my favorites and has a great quote from the sorting hat in Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone “Gryffindor where dwell the brave at heart their daring, nerve, and chivalry set Gryffindors apart”.  While both of these items aren’t in store anymore you can still find similar iterations at Hot Topic.

The breeches I’m wearing photographed a little darker than what they appear like in person, but I am in LOVE with their deep emerald coloring which has a distinctly Slytherin vibes.  As always they’re the Piper Knit Breeches from SmartPak, which I cannot rave enough about. It’s REALLY hard for me to find any sort of breeches or riding leggings that fit both my thighs and are still narrow enough for my waist.  If you have an hourglass figure or a significant difference between your thighs and waist check these out!  They’re super comfortable and work both in the saddle and out of it.

My boots are my ride or die Scout Zip Paddock Boots from Ariat. I wear these EVERYWHERE.  They’re comfortable and are super easy to transition from the stable to the street.  More than anything I love their durability, these boots last through everything and anything I throw at them.

This ROOTD is definitely one of my favorites so far and the perfect way to transition into fall.  Definitely enjoying the last little bits of sunshine and heat before winter gets here!
